BWT PK Turbo Replacement Filter Bags Australia: Fine, Standard & Leaf Options

Looking for a replacement filter bag for the BWT PK Turbo in Australia? The PK Turbo (EV105TURBO) is one of the most common cordless pool vacuums in Australian service work, and its mesh bags wear out, stretch and lose their drawcords long before the machine does. This page covers which OEM bag your PK Turbo uses, what each part code means, and which of our Australian 13" spa-width bags to choose as a replacement.

The short answer

Our replacement bags are the 13" (about 33 cm) spa-width drawcord size the PK Turbo uses: slide the bag over the head, cinch the drawcord tight, done. The range runs from a 40 µm super-fine bag to a 3 mm leaf bag, from $44.95 — more micron choices than the two bags the unit shipped with.

One caveat before anything else: if your PK Turbo runs the pleated cartridge filter rather than a mesh bag, our bags are not a replacement for that cartridge system — more on that below. And if your unit is an older revision or anything measures differently, measure your bag opening or send us the exact model and we'll confirm before you order.

Which PK Turbo filter are you replacing?

The PK Turbo's kit uses three different filters, and they are not interchangeable — so start by identifying which one you actually have:

PK Turbo filter OEM part code Used for Can we replace it?
Regular / standard mesh bag EV90-06-001/22 Leaves and twigs — commonly published at 250 µm Yes — see the cross-reference below
Fine mesh bag EV90-06-002/22 Sand and grass — commonly published at 75 µm Yes — see the cross-reference below
Cartridge filter EV105-6 / EV105-06-02 Very fine silt and algae — a pleated cartridge, not a mesh bag No. Our mesh bags do not replace the cartridge system

A note on those numbers: BWT's PK Turbo parts documentation identifies the part codes and the regular/fine designations. The micron figures are the ratings commonly published in retailer and product documentation rather than printed in that parts diagram — so if a rating is printed on your own bag or in your manual, go by that.

OEM part code to our range

Read the last column as closest option by nominal micron rating — not a promise of identical filtration. Mesh construction, material and weave differ between manufacturers, so two bags with similar micron numbers won't necessarily behave the same in the water.

You're replacing OEM rating Closest options in our range
EV90-06-001/22 regular bag Commonly published at 250 µm 180 µm is a tighter alternative and 140 µm tighter again — neither is an equivalent grade to 250 µm; both simply have a smaller nominal opening. For pure leaf work there's also the Green 3 mm heavy-duty leaf bag — a leaf catcher, not a filter (3 mm is 3,000 µm)
EV90-06-002/22 fine bag Commonly published at 75 µm 80 µm is our closest nominal micron match — very slightly more open than 75 µm, not finer. For a genuinely finer bag, step down to 57 µm or 40 µm extra-long
EV105-6 cartridge Pleated cartridge Not replaced by our mesh bags. That said, the 40 µm and 57 µm mesh bags cover much of the fine-debris work a cartridge is used for, with more capacity and easier rinsing

"Fine", "standard", "regular", "coarse" — these names are not standardised

Filter-bag grade names are not standardised across brands. For the PK Turbo bags most owners are replacing, the commonly published pairing is a standard bag at 250 µm and a fine bag at 75 µm — but grade names and ratings vary between BWT documents and model years, and other suppliers use the same words for very different numbers. Where you can find a published micron rating for your specific bag or part number, go by that number rather than the grade name. We label our whole range by micron for exactly this reason.

Two rules that always hold: a lower micron number is a tighter mesh, and 3 mm is not a micron rating — 3 mm is 3,000 µm, which makes our green leaf bag a leaf catcher rather than a filter.

Which micron for your pool?

If your pool has… Choose Why
Dust, pollen, dead algae after a shock 40 µm extra-long or 57 µm Both have a smaller nominal opening than a 75 µm OEM fine bag, so they hold back material a stock fine bag lets through
Sand and fine silt — a like-for-like fine bag 80 µm Our closest nominal match to the 75 µm OEM fine bag — the like-for-like replacement, very slightly more open rather than finer
General grit, everyday service work 100 µm Fine capture with faster flow — clogs less than the sub-80 bags
Leaves, twigs, pebbles 140 µm or 180 µm Both have a smaller nominal opening than a 250 µm standard bag while still moving plenty of water
Storm debris, autumn leaf fall Green 3 mm heavy-duty leaf bag Maximum flow for big clean-ups. A leaf catcher, not a filter — 3 mm is 3,000 µm

Fitment: what fits, and what to check first

Cleaner Our position
BWT PK Turbo (EV105TURBO) Fits. 13" spa-width drawcord opening — our bags mount the same way the originals do
The Bottom Feeder Fits. 13" is a standard bag size for this machine
Kokido Vektro-family drawcord cleaners Fits. Model-by-model detail on our Kokido replacement filter bags page — Voltera 105, Vektro XL and Telsa 90 are measure-first
BWT F1 Turbo Send us your model first. BWT documents the F1 Turbo's bag attachment as Click N' Lock, and our bags are drawcord — opening width alone doesn't settle compatibility
Hammerhead, Riptide, Power Vac Not our size. These professional machines commonly use a wider 15" bag, so we don't advertise our 13" bags for them

How to check in ten seconds

  1. Take the old bag off and lay it flat.
  2. Measure straight across the opening. Around 13" (33 cm) and you're in our range; closer to 15" and you're on the larger professional size.
  3. Check the attachment: a drawcord that cinches over the head is what our bags use. A click-on or Click N' Lock cartridge is a different mechanism.
  4. Still unsure? Send us the model and a photo of the bag opening and we'll confirm the fit before you buy.

We'd rather talk you out of the wrong bag than sell you one that doesn't seal.

FAQ

Do these bags fit the BWT PK Turbo EV105TURBO?

Yes — our bags are the 13" spa-width drawcord size the PK Turbo uses. If your unit is an older revision, measure your current bag's opening or send us the model and we'll confirm.

Are these genuine BWT bags?

No. They're our own Australian range in the 13" spa-width size, with more micron options — from 40 µm super-fine through to a 3 mm leaf bag — than the two mesh bags the PK Turbo ships with.

Which bag replaces the PK Turbo fine filter bag (EV90-06-002/22)?

Our 80 µm bag is the closest nominal micron match to that part's commonly published 75 µm rating — very slightly more open, not finer. For a genuinely finer bag, choose 57 µm or 40 µm.

Which bag replaces the PK Turbo standard filter bag (EV90-06-001/22)?

Our 180 µm and 140 µm bags are tighter alternatives to that part's commonly published 250 µm rating — smaller nominal openings rather than equivalent grades. For pure leaf work, the 3 mm leaf bag moves the most water.

Can you replace the PK Turbo cartridge filter?

No — the pleated cartridge (EV105-6) is a different system and our mesh bags don't replace it. The 40 µm and 57 µm mesh bags do cover much of the fine-debris work a cartridge is used for.

Do the same bags fit the BWT F1 Turbo?

Not automatically. BWT documents the F1 Turbo's attachment as Click N' Lock, and our bags are drawcord — so send us your model and we'll confirm before you order.
